Was this a good or bad decision? I went and just spent all I had on ectos at the trader. Why? idk why.

well, it was bad cause you could have gotten more buying them from players. Players always sell at just under what the trader charges, so theoretically you could have gotten more ecto that way for the same amount of money.

Buying ectos=No fail if you actually gonna use em. Ie for Fow armor, Chaos Gloves.

Buying ectos from trader= Uber phail lol ( But it kinda depends on how many you got)

Using all your cash = bad
Taking a risk and spending half = good

I lost millions when ecto went from 10k to 5k. This was over a fair period of time, but it will always be my biggest lose. I do miss the 10k ecto days, much easier on my storage. Ended up with 40 odd stacks by the time they hit 5k. I did transfer some over into armbraces, but they soon nosedived too. Was all good fun though.

LOL thats only a small part of the run. I get most of my ectos from the attaxs though. and clear 3 quests too. Unwanted guests ,the chamber, escort souls part 1. can even do the part 2 of it in bone yard.

Bad idea. If you are worried about how you "invest" cash you don't have enough to need to "invest". Sinking everything you have into one commodity is generally a bad idea unless you know it will spike up...and nothing has pointed to ecto spiking. Also as pointed out above, buying at trader is more expensive, hence bad from a profit standpoint.

Just hold onto platinum unless your account is maxed lol.

buying them from the trader was not a good idea, if anything you can probably get a better offer from actual players. I doubt you will lose much, because ectos have regained their former pricing, might change between 4.9k and 5.5k... Im hoping it stays this way, but either way don't worry, you will be either losing very little or "hopefully" gain a few g per ecto...

Good idea. Even though you don't have to spam that much (ecto sellers are quite common), it does save time.

Yea, lol, Anet made the Chaos ecto run better. Giving more enemies = more drops. And changing the Specters to ranged (ha), still easy to round them up; they don't go no where).
